This typeface was inspired by the song Ink by Coldplay. This song is featured on their album titled Ghost Stories. Ink is a story about a desperate traveler who endures an arduous journey with the hopes of finding his lost love.

 

Inspired by the rhythm and lyrics, I choose to make a  condensed typeface with sharp ends and disconnected points. These features of the typeface were made to resemble the imperfections of handwriting found in love letters from writers with a broken heart. 

 

Desperate yet hopeful, this typeface was displayed on a vinyl album cover and type specimen poster.
